Increasing the TC and increasing the gain decreases the settling time at the cost of long-term oscillations. The steps in the VFM angle response in panels (b) and (d) are due to the finite resolution of the scaler and voltage-to-frequency instrumentation used to record the VFM piezo readback voltage.
