Kissinger plots for the formation of the intermetallic phases Al3Ni, Al3Ni2 and AlNi, based on DSC data from Grapes (2016)BB9. Points A, B and C refer to the temperatures at which peaks in [\tilde{D}] occur for the [\Lambda] = 25 nm sample (Fig. 4a[link]). Joining them is a line indicating a heating rate of 40 K s−1; the arrow indicates the direction of increasing temperature along this line. At this heating rate, peak B occurs at a temperature close to that which would be expected for formation of Al3Ni and peak C near the temperature expected for Al3Ni2.
