X-ray projections (grayscale in detector counts) of a capillary with varying diameter and an iodine droplet traveling through it. The droplet enters the narrow capillary part in (a), thus it accelerates and changes its shape in (b). The shape is completely different in (c) and as the iodine enters the capillary part with broader diameter in (d) it slows down and forms a droplet again.
