The distribution $[P({\bf{B}}^{\rm{tot}})]$ [the column-bar graph in (a)] is calculated for the case when $[{\bf{B}}_{\rm{hf}}^{(i)}]$ is oriented at a mean angle of 135° relative the direction of $[{\bf{H}}^{\rm{ext}}]$ with a Gaussian angular distribution of ±20° [two fans of the solid black arrows in (b)]. For comparison, the solid vertical line in (a) shows the single-line distribution $[P({\bf{B}}^{\rm{tot}})]$ for the case $[{\bf{H}}^{\rm{ext}}]$ = 0 and $[{\bf{B}}^{\rm{tot}}]$ = $[|{\bf{B}}_{\rm{hf}}|]$ . The dashed vertical line in (a) is the single-line distribution $[P({\bf{B}}^{\rm{tot}})]$ for the case where all $[{\bf{B}}_{\rm{hf}}^{(i)}]$ = $[{\bf{B}}_{\rm{hf}}]$ (ferro) are aligned antiparallel to $[{\bf{H}}^{\rm{ext}}]$ = $[0.05|{\bf{B}}_{\rm{hf}}|]$ and $[{\bf{B}}^{\rm{tot}}]$ = $[0.95|{\bf{B}}_{\rm{hf}}|]$ .
