At the top a comparison on a logarithmic scale of the measured TEY spectrum η (filled circles) and the term hν/2 (lines) for different values of . With increasing mean energy the two terms become more and more of similar magnitude. At the bottom the correction term f = 1/(hν/2η) in equation (7c)[link] is shown as a function of photon energy E = hν. It may be noted that inspite of a constant the correction term is energy-dependent and that the correction is most pronounced in the resonance region.
