Tomographic reconstruction of Right Breast with a dense accumulation of tumorous fibrotic tissue (yellow arrows) and the presence of micro-calcifications (circles). On the left in panel (a) is the conventional view (plane parallel to the X-ray beam). On the right are the two related orthogonal views, (b) in the sagittal plane and (c) in the transverse plane. Both (b) and (c) show a portion of the skin including the nipple in their upper part. Coloured lines indicate the positions of the corresponding orthogonal sections, with the red line representing the coronal plane, green the sagittal plane and violet the transverse plane. The data set was acquired at 5.71 m and 32 keV, using the iterative FBP reconstruction method and preprocessing the data with the TIE-Hom phase-retrieval algorithm.
