The microcrystalline slurry sample is placed in a sample reservoir on an anti-settling device. The sample flow is controlled by injection of water into the reservoir which hydraulically flows the sample into the device. The cross-sectional area of the device channel is 300 µm × 300 µm and the width of the flow-focused stream is roughly 40 µm. The crystal size and X-ray spot size are shown to scale.
