The probability of different types of interactions of X-rays with the crystal as a function of incident beam energy. The interaction probability, plotted using a logarithmic scale, is the reciprocal of the mean free path length for that interaction. The coefficients were calculated using the program RADDOSE-3D (Zeldin et al., 2013BB48; Bury et al., 2018BB5) for a lysozyme crystal (PDB 1dpx).
