Raman spectra R-1 to R-12 from the mirror surface at intervals of 25 mm along the length of the mirror. Spectrum R-1 is from one edge of the mirror, R-7 from the centre of the mirror and R-12 from the opposite edge of the mirror (see positions R1 to R12 in Fig. 1[link]). In each case, the curve labelled (a) (black) is from the contaminated mirror surface and that labelled (b) (red) is after RF plasma cleaning of the mirror surface.
