Figure 5
Comparison of (a) experimental TRXL data and (b) S-cube simulation for iodoform in cyclohexane at a time delay of 100 ps after excitation at 267 nm, which was measured at the XSS beamline of PAL-XFEL. In (a), the black curve is the averaged difference scattering curve from 460 difference scattering curves, the red curve is the smoothed difference scattering curve from the averaged difference scattering curve, the blue curve is the residual between the two curves, and the transparent pink, yellow, green and purple curves are the averaged curves from subsets of 460 difference scattering curves, each of which consists of 115 difference scattering curves. In (b), the black, red and blue curves are simulation results with noise, simulation results without noise, and the residuals between simulation results with and without noise, respectively. The residuals in (a) and (b) represent noise. The y-axis indicates qΔS(q), the difference scattering intensity multiplied by q. The difference scattering intensity, ΔS(q), is scaled by the number of solvent molecules and has the unit of electron units (e.u.).
