Top: comparison between the spectra obtained with and without implementing the energy/position correction as derived in the main text. Differences in the shape of the absorption edge and white line are due to different apertures of the slit and normalization conditions between these experiments. Bottom: fluorescence-mode XAS of the Fe K-edge on a Fe2O3 sample obtained at the dispersive beamline compared with its transmission-mode counterpart. The distortions in the fluorescence data are probably due to self-absorption.
