Application of the Chebyshev polynomials method to remove the background from a representative region of a NEXAFS spectrum, corresponding to the Cu L-edge (orange points, left panel), containing both the L2- and L3-edges. The degree N of the polynomials and the importance of weights can be changed by sliders and directly control the shape of the background curve computed via the NumPy class method Chebyshev.fit function.
