Non-inclined geometry of phase gradient, [{\boldrho}], with its corresponding 180° projection, [{\boldrho}^{\,{\prime}}], where the two coordinate systems x, y and x1, y1 are the vertical and horizontal vectors for the object and detector, and analyser crystal, respectively, are equivalent and z is the propagation direction of the X-ray wavefield going into the page. In this setup the analyser crystal is only sensitive to variations of the phase in the x1 direction.
