A comparison of εthermal plotted against (a) Tmeasured and (b) Tcalibrated for each reflection. εthermal was calculated using equations (2)[link] and (3)[link] by tracing the angular position of the detector during annealing. In (a), the measured εthermal averaged over all reflections (red line) does not agree with the predicted εthermal (blue line) when plotted using Tmeasured. In (b), the measured εthermal plotted using Tcalibrated (determined by αAu) overlaps with the the predicted εthermal as intended.
