Figure 10
(a) Pt 4f core-level spectra measured at 200 eV photon energy. The inset shows a close-up view of the Pt 4f7/2 peak. The spectra are normalized to bulk Pt 4f intensity. (b) C 1s core-level spectra measured at 380 eV photon energy. The C 1s spectra are normalized to have equal intensity in the peak at 284 eV. (c) O 1s core-level spectra measured at 640 eV photon energy. In each core-level, the red spectra are recorded before any H2 was added, the blue spectra are recorded when the sample was exposed to 1 mbar H2, and the green spectra after the cell had been evacuated.
