Transmission of synchrotron radiation through 200 nm of Al or Si₃N₄ calculated using the CXRO database (Henke et al., 1993

). The Al window has a good transmission up to the Al 2p edge at around 72 eV and begins to increase again after 200 eV. The Si₃N₄ window has much smaller transmission due to the Si 2p and N 1s edges at about 100 and 400 eV. Both windows have relatively good transmission above 500 eV.
