Photograph of the sample manipulator inside the RIXS chamber. The sample xyz stage was developed using UHV-compatible stepper motors and optical encoders. The sample position can be aligned with the incident X-ray beam with a resolution of 1 µm. Two photodiodes are installed to measure the incident photon flux and fluorescence.
