N K-edge absorption spectra of bulk-like (∼1500 Å) late transition metal nitrides (Fe-N, Co-N, Ni-N) are compared with early ones (TiN, CrN). Prominent features marked as a–d can be seen in each case. N K-edge spectra of CrN and TiN have been taken from Behera et al. (2020BB4).
