The particle-tracking GUI allows to highlight a cubic region of interest within the reconstructed 3D tomogram using an (a) horizontal and (b) vertical slice through the volume. Diffraction maps can then be collected at any number of rotation angles with the diffraction beam automatically tracking the region or particle, for example at (c) 0° and (d) 90°. Tomography data of a soil specimen [adapted from Ahmed, 2014)] is shown for illustration purposes – no actual data were collected at this point. |
