The achievable resolution deteriorates very quickly once beyond the acceptable [{{\Delta}}E/E] as outlined in equation (5)[link]. For [{{\Delta}}E/E] smaller than the Rayleigh criterion, the energy bandwidth limited resolution curve is continued as a dotted line. This example is calculated with D = 120 µm, Δr = 50 nm, N = 600.
