Panels (a), (b), and (c) depict I0, I6, and I62, respectively, which correspond to p0, p6, and p62, the initial, sixth, and final `best' position recorded during one execution of Algorithm A.1[link]. Evaluating each image with the FOM (3)[link], we see that [{\cal F}({\bf{p}}_{0},M)] and [{\cal F}({\bf{p}}_{6},M)] correspond, respectively, to 14.03% and 48.29% of [{\cal F}({\bf{p}}_{62},M)] when M = 2.0.
