Experimental geometry of the PMM station with two beams. Linearly p-polarized light (p-pol.) from BL6U is incident in the x–z plane at an angle of 68° from the sample surface normal (z) axis. Here, the plane of incidence (x–z plane) is represented by the green horizontal plane. H-pol. and V-pol. enter from the back of the first HDA through the optical lens at the BL7U branch in the normal-incidence geometry. Any sample can be rotated in-plane at an angle ϕs. The two insets show the measured photoelectron momentum patterns of the Au(111) surface with various photon polarizations. |
