Basic set-up for the simulation of the focal spot size and the group delay. The FEL beam passes a 5 mm aperture at a distance of 48.1 m from the source and is reflected by the first mirror CM1 after an additional 12.7 m. After passing the SDU the beam enters the KB optic KAOS (Manfredda et al., 2022BB20) which focuses the beam onto the sample. At this sample position the simulation is evaluated.
