(a) is normalized by the intensity of the direct beam before the splitter, while (b) is normalized by the intensity of the beamlet emerging from the splitter. The error bars are calculated by combining the noise of the detector and the quantum noise for the direct beam, the beamlet after the splitter, or after the recombiner.
