Example of calculation of the reflection amplitude r2 of a Si 111 crystal of 2 µm thickness from the amplitudes of the half-layer (1 µm). The reflectivity of the bilayer r2 can be obtained as an infinite sum r2 = [r+rt\bar{t}] + [rt\bar{t}(r\bar{r})] + [rt\bar{t}(r\bar{r})^{2}] + … = [r[1+t\bar{t}\sum_{n\,=\,0}^{\infty}(r\bar{r})^{n}]] = [r\{1+[t\bar{t}/(1-r\bar{r})]\}]. Calculations done with crystalpy for a photon energy of 8 keV.
