(a) The use of slotted flanges reduces the distance between flanges and adjacent elements by allowing screws to be inserted through the slots. (b) Bellows with a smaller diameter, combined with slotted flanges, minimize the distance between two elements, achieving a separation of only 50 mm for two DN40CF elements.
