All other smaller variations are omitted for clarity. The strain tensor, in the same framework representation, is plotted in the centre of the drawing (the out-of-plane component is small); it clearly indicates that the rearrangement occurring to the anion upon cooling–warming has a tighter connection to the actual compression–expansion of the crystal.
