KAg2AsS4 is non-centrosymmetric. The anionic framework is built from vertex-sharing AsS4 and AgS4 tetrahedra. The K+ ions reside in orthogonal tunnels parallel to the x and y axes.

The structure of Cs2Mn3Te4 comprises layers of edge-sharing manganese-centered tetrahedra stacked perpendicular to [001]. The layers are separated by Cs+ cations, each coordinated by eight Te2− anions.

K2Sr[H4B4O9]2.10H2O and (NH4)2Ca[H4B4O9]2.8H2O contain alternate layers of tetraborate ions and two of the water molecules, and are completed by the cations and the remaining water molecules. The space group and number of water molecules of hydration depend on the nature of the cation.

The structure of [Zn3(AsO4)2]3.4H2O contains infinite chains of edge-sharing zinc octahedra and trigonal bipyramids. The chains are cross-linked by clusters of As and Zn tetrahedra to form a very dense three-dimensional framework.

Single crystals of Hg2P2O7 suitable for structure refinement were grown by chemical vapour transport. The structure contains highly distorted HgO6 octahedra and P2O7 groups with an almost eclipsed conformation and a P—O—P bridging angle of 133.4(4)°.
