Electronic spectra of polymorphs I and II of the title compound. Samples were dissolved in tetra­hydro­furan and the concentrations were 440 and 630 p.p.m. for I and II, respectively. The figure displays the visible region of the spectra, while the UV region (not shown) features the expected π → π* transitions of the aromatic systems.
