(b) Ladder-like chains of stoichiometry (VOF3), observed previously in (bpeH2)[VOF3]2 (Aldous, Goff et al., 2007BB1). By comparison with (a), the condensation of the hydrogen-bonded chains in (I)[link] to ladders in this compound can be visualized.
