The mol­ecular structure of (I)[link], showing the atom-numbering scheme. Displacement ellipsoids are drawn at the 50% probability level for all non-H atoms (colour code for the electronic version of the paper: Pd violet, Ni green, K light blue, P rose, O red, C grey and H empty spheres with a black outline). Hollow dotted ellipsoids and bonds are used to indicate the minor component of positionally disordered O atoms attributed to the phospho­nate group and disordered water mol­ecules.
