Mn K-edge of KMnO₄ using an Si(111) channel-cut monochromator. The sharp (1.6 eV) pre-edge feature allows an experimental energy resolution of 1.2 eV, or a resolving power (E/ΔE) of 5500, to be estimated. LNLS: 1.37 GeV; 10.5 mA; 180 min. Accepted beam = 0.05 mrad (V) × 0.2 mrad (H).
