Supernova remnant Tycho in the Cassiopeia region, discovered in 1572 by Tycho Brahe. The radius of Tycho is 12 light years. The temperature of about one million degrees gives rise to X-rays from 0.2 keV to 10 keV. The X-ray spectrum shows an abundance of many elements, among them O, Mg, Si, S, Ar, Ca, Fe and Ni.
