Individual kinetic functions of the Ce(IV) species during the reduction of Ce(IV) by isopropanol as obtained by simultaneous XANES (squares) and UV/Vis measurements (circles: absorption at 513 nm; triangles: wavelength at an absorption of 0.5). The values of Δλ were rescaled to the Ce(IV) XAS plot for better comparability. The gap between 300 and 400 min is due to the injection of electrons into the synchrotron storage ring.
