X-ray absorption spectra of an Fe foil in a DAC using the SCD and NPD anvils. Crosses indicate the glitches due to Bragg diffraction from the SCD anvils. For clarity the spectrum using the NPD anvils is shifted downward. The inset shows an X-ray absorption spectrum of an Fe-based compound around the Fe K-edge using a different pair of SCD anvils. Glitches observed at both baseline and EXAFS region are caused by a large θoff. This figure will appear in color in the online version of the paper.
