Photon intensity spectra measured (a) with the 300 lines mm−1 VLSG and M3 and (b) with the 1000 lines mm−1 VLSG and M3′ before and after atmospheric pressure UV/ozone cleaning at 363 K for 10 min. The photon intensity after cleaning was weak because the position of the light source changed in the interval between the two sets of measurements (i.e. before and after cleaning). Since the storage ring suffered damage during the Great East Japan Earthquake on 11 March 2011 (magnitude: 9.0; intensity on the Japanese seven-stage seismic scale in Tsukuba area: 6−) (Honda et al., 2012BB12), its commissioning resulted in a considerable change in the position of the light source of BL-13A.
