The angle α is between the vectors [{\bf e}_2^{\,\prime}] and [0 1 0] in the crystal plane: [{\bf e}_2^{\,\prime}](α = 0°) = [0 1 0], [{\bf e}_2^{\,\prime}](α = 90°) = [0 0 1].
