Ratio between the magnitudes (calculated as averages of the absolute values of the signal in the full Q-range) of the anisotropic and isotropic difference scattering signals as a function of pump–probe time-delay, up to 600 ps after the photoexcitation of PtPOP in water. A broadened bi-exponential decay is fit to the data (black line), with time constants of 3 ps ± 2 ps and 60 ps ± 10 ps. The latter is interpreted as the rotational correlation time of PtPOP in water.
