The plane of incidence for the plane mirror containing the incident and the specularly reflected beam (dashed lines with arrows) is drawn. This plane contains also the diffracted beam from the grating (concluding dashed line with arrow). A vertical rotation axis is proposed to be centered in the incident beam and to be at a distance r from the center of the beam footprint at the grating. The indicated direction for the rotation will lead to increasing photon energy during tuning.
