Quantification of flow dynamics, counting every segmented voxel within the cylindrical ROI (dashed line) and studying its cumulative curve for one XCT. Both tomography slices illustrate the number of counted voxels (given the 1.47 µm3 voxel size, 2820 voxels correspond to ∼9000 µm3 and 6656 voxels to ∼21 000 µm3). The left-hand axis displays the absolute volume associated with the voxel count and the right-hand axis represents its comparison with the ROI volume. In this example, 1% of the total volume is segmented as carbonate.
