(a) After the protein has been cultured on the combined crystallization plate, the typical crystal growth state is displayed. Regarding the operation of the Mosquito, first a commonly used 96-well plate (such as Fastal SD2) was selected as the basic setting (b) and the various parameters of the Mosquito were then set to make it fit the newly designed combined crystallization plate (c). Finally, the Mosquito could automatically apply samples to the plate according to the protocol in (d).
