Source, analyzer crystal (r = 50 mm) and detector on a Rowland circle (RR = 250 mm, θB = 75°). In Johann geometry the reflecting crystal planes and the optical surface have a bending radius RP = 2RR. The configuration on the right shows the placement of a crystal with a 15° asymmetry angle.
