Electron microscope images of the (a) 5.4 µm and (b) 2.1 µm Nd2Fe14B single-crystal pillars mounted on a tungsten tip. The zoomed-in images show the approximate crystal orientation with the flat top facet normal aligned close to the [110] crystallographic axis. The [[\bar110]] and [001] directions were inferred from experimental results, assuming moments are oriented predominantly along the [001] easy axis.
