(a) Bivariate histogram of the δoff and δon values of a region in the center of the Ni wire and projected histograms. While the δoff histogram has a Gaussian shape, the δon histogram is better described by combining two Gaussian curves. This behavior indicates the contamination of the Ni wire with a material that has a similar δoff but a different δon value. The voxels with this combination of δ values are indicated by the rectangle in the bivariate histogram. The localization of these voxels in the sample volume is shown in (b).
