In order to test the robustness of the method, ten different datasets were taken during the beam time, each consisting of 25 measurements exploring the search space. Shown here are the RMSE of the resulting coordinates and the target for the optimal position. The y-axis is truncated to show just the region of interest, because all deviations are less than 0.45 mm, despite a maximum possible deviation of 5.0 mm. The average deviation is 0.22 mm, which is in line with the average deviation of one dataset across 200 trials of 0.27 mm, shown in Fig. 4[link].
