Typical spectral fluctuations in a (a, b) SASE beam at Ec = 10004.97 eV, (b, c) monochromatic beam of SASE pulses at Ec = 10000.06 eV, and (e, f) seeded beam at Ec = 9996.16 eV. The first column of the figure [(a), (c) and (e)] shows fluctuations in peak position and intensity; the second column [(b), (d) and (f)] represents the correlation between the intensity and position of the XFEL pulses. In particular, two representative regions (blue and magenta points) are selected, and the average profiles of the two regions are shown in each inset of the second column [(b), (d) and (f)] with the same color of the corresponding two regions.
