Impact of Hcompress compressions at scales 4, 8, 16, 24, 32, and 64 on a typical weak reflection in HIV reverse transcriptase first boosted and protected by binning and summing by factors of 2. Three rows through the boosted reflection were averaged. The BIN2_SUM2_HCOMP4, 8, 16, and 24 all preserve the basic shape of the weak reflection with no weakening or distortion. The HCOMP32 compression weakens the reflection slightly. The HCOMP64 compression swallows the weak reflection completely.
