Impact of JPEG-2000 compressions at levels 200, 500, 1000, and 2000 on a typical weak reflection in HIV reverse transcriptase. Six rows through the reflection were averaged. The J2K200 compression preserves the peak but distorts the shoulders asymmetrically. The J2K500 compression severely distorts the profile, while J2K1000 and J2K2000 swallow the weak reflection completely.
