Impact of Hcompress compressions at scales 4, 8, 16, 24, 32, and 64 on a typical weak reflection in HIV reverse transcriptase. Six rows through the reflection were averaged. The hcomp4, 8 and 16 compressions preserve the peak, but the hcomp16 peak has been distorted. The hcomp24 compression actually boosted this weak reflection and hcomp32 and 64 swallowed it.
