The basic concept to convert the emission image into a spectrum by using the self-calibration method. Top panel is the sliced spectra after pixel calibration based on the angular scan showing good overlap of the peak position. Middle panel is the pixel–angle calibration at different slice regions; non-linear and non-uniform relations are shown. Bottom panel is the emission spectrum of Nb Kα1 after re-binning and transforming angles to energies. The signal is from Nb foil sample.
